Welcome to Mr/Miss South of the Equator
Join us for the prestigious Mr/Miss South of the Equator competition, an annual national event founded by Shaun Stander in 2017. Shaun is a distinguished Model, Actor, Presenter, Choreographer, and Producer. Shaun is also the former Mr. South Africa 2019 1st Prince Winner, Mr. South Africa People’s Choice Winner, Mr. Africa, and Sir King of the Universe, among many other accolades, having held over 75 titles. We are excited to host the Annual Mr/Miss South of the Equator, a national model competition celebrating talent and community spirit across South Africa.
About the Competition
Mr/Miss South of the Equator is more than just a beauty pageant, it’s a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to become ambassadors and role models within their communities. Our competition emphasizes self-development and the opportunity to drive positive change. Contestants engage in charitable causes, reflecting our commitment to making a meaningful impact.
Our Mission
Since our inception, we’ve proudly supported numerous charitable organizations, including Feed the Babies Fund, CHOC, CANSA, SPCA, Hospice, Marine Conservation efforts, Crime Awareness Days, and initiatives against Human Trafficking and GBV. Our mission is to empower our winners to champion causes they are passionate about.
Awards and Opportunities
Winners in each age group will receive free entry into one nominated pageant and have the opportunity to work with the organizer on social events and for sponsors throughout the year. An ultimate winner may also be selected to compete in a National/International Pageant should they meet the criteria.
